The Indiana Dunes National Park says in central Europe, Poland sits at both the geographical and birding crossroads of the continent and the country’s diverse and rich habitats make it an excellent location for both nesting and migratory bird species. Region residents have an opportunity to learn about the birds of Poland at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Meet park officials from three of Poland’s National Parks to explore the country’s birdlife and to learn more about these special places and the “sister park” agreement that Indiana Dunes National Park shares with Poland. Magdalena Jedro of Kampinoski National Park, Adam Olszewski of Slovinski National Park and Artur Wiatr of Biebrza National Park will share their experiences. The visitor center is located on State Road 49 in Porter, Indiana.
