Police Officers Rescue Kitten from George Washington Bridge

In New York City, Port Authority police officers saved a tiny kitten that was darting across lanes of busy traffic on the George Washington Bridge Monday afternoon. Frantic drivers called 911 to say they saw the kitten on the lower level of the bridge. Police officers were able to stop traffic and corral the feline near the toll plaza on the New Jersey side of the bridge. The cat was taken to a Bergen county animal shelter where it will be put up for adoption.
