Humane Indiana Shelter in Munster Temporarily Closing Due to COVID-19

In Munster, the Humane Indiana’s Shelter and Adoption Center has announced their temporary closure for the safety of its staff, volunteers and the community to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The decision was made to adhere to Governor Holcomb’s stay-at-home executive order. The shelter says current shelter pets were placed in temporary homes and will stay with foster families until staff and volunteers are able to return to work. The organization is continuing to offer pet food and pet supplies to pet owners in need through its pet food pantry. You can contact the Humane Indiana Shelter and Adoption Center here.
