(Indianapolis, IN) — The Indianapolis 500 is the latest major sports event to fall victim to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Race officials announced the traditional Memorial weekend event will be postponed until August 23rd. It was scheduled to take place on May 24th. Roger Penske released a statement saying they would double down on customer experience in the months ahead. IndyCar has already announced the postponement or cancellations of the first four races of this season.
