Trick-or-Treating Safety Tips from Indiana State Police

Indiana State Police are passing along some safety tips for trick-or-treaters this week. The Lowell State Police post says to be sure you know correct dates and times for trick-or-treating in your area and to always trick-or-treat with an adult or in a group with a “buddy system”. Officials advise to always walk on sidewalks and not in the roadways. Carry a flashlight or glow stick, and when possible, wear reflective material on your costume to increase your visibility. State Police also implore motorists to know trick-or-treat dates and times as well, and to please slow down and drive with extra caution where trick-or-treaters may be present.
