Region residents can get a first-hand look at some of the scientific research happening at Indiana Dunes National Park on Saturday, May 25, from 2pm to 4pm at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center. Park officials say the public can join park ranger Kelly Caddell to learn about the work scientists are doing on their most famous dune, Mount Baldy. Following a short presentation at the visitor center, carpool to Baldy for a ranger-guided hike to the top of the dune.
The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94.
