Self-Guided Hikes Into Pinhook Bog, Remnant of the Last Ice Age

Visitors are invited to take a self-guided hike into Pinhook Bog every Saturday in July and August, from 12 noon to 3 pm at Indiana Dunes National Park. Rangers and volunteers stationed along the trail will help guests understand this unique remnant of the last ice age. Allow one hour to walk the trail and tour the quaking bog. Visitors are also asked to arrive before 2 pm to allow enough time to complete the tour.  The Pinhook Bog parking lot is located at 920 North Wozniak Road in Michigan City.
